Managed over 25 freelance writers to help produce the fastest growing
magazine in the affluent Philadelphia suburbs, reaching over 75,000 readers
each month. Oversaw all processes of the magazine's two publications,
and assigned, edited and proofed all articles for the print and online
version of LifeStyle. Other duties included hiring new writers
and editors, managing interns, researching and reviewing high-end products,
and maintaining our high editorial standards for all publications.

Responsible for the direction, content and presentation of NENA News
and Continuity Insights, two national trade magazines that covered
emergency and 911 issues, and business continuity. Duties included editing

Edited a Visual Basic instructional book for the Prentice Hall Essential
Series. Duties included proofreading, making copy adjustments, checking
manuscript codes, adding content, and ensuring that the manuscript met
production requirements.
Medical Copywriter/Editor - 08/2002 to 08/2003
Insight Interactive Group, Philadelphia, PA
Researched and wrote all of the agency's direct to consumer communications,
creative ad campaigns, and internal promotional pieces. Developed effective
online ad campaigns, Web site content, consumer emails, and search engine
optimization strategy for numerous clients in the pharmaceutical and entertainment
industries including Centocor, Ortho Biotech, Pfizer, and Comedy Central.
Additional duties included proofreading, managing freelance writers, and
overseeing content through the regulatory process. Insight Interactive
Group was recently purchased by Whittman Hart.
